Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center (P-WEC), one of ProFauna's field projects, holds quarterly discussions for public to engage with ProFauna's members and members of the community to become actively involved in helping ProFauna to save wildlife in Indonesia. On the 13th of September, ProFauna held the third discussion in 2008, and invited three religious leaders (Islam, Buddhist, and Christian) as keynote speakers, together with the organization's chairman, Rosek Nursahid.

One of ProFauna Indonesia's field projects, Javan Langur Center (JLC) in partnership with the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) of the Forestry Department relocated four Sumatran agile gibbons from JLC in East Java to Marak Island off the west coast of Sumatera, Indonesia (9 August 2008).

495 green turtle eggs were confiscated by the Indonesian Police and Forestry Departments in collaboration with the Institute of Wild Animals Advocacy (LASA), one of ProFauna Indonesia's member societies on 8 August 2008, in Sukabumi, West Java.

On Sunday, 30th April 2006, ProFauna Indonesia's team sets off for Yogyakarta (Central Java) to coordinate an evacuation of live stocks and domestic animals which are seriously threatened by Mount Merapi eruption. The Directorate of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation has raised the alert level from II to III on 12th April. The authority estimated that the volcano would most likely erupt soon. The eruption would not only affect humans but also the animals living around Mount Merapi.
