The trade of rare wildlife on the internet increases in 2012. ProFauna Indonesia, a leading organisation working for the protection of wildlife in Indonesia, records show that there have been more than 303 protected wildlife consisting of 27 species being traded on the internet along 2012.

ProFauna Indonesia held training on sea turtle conservation management for a local community called "Kurma Asih" on Perancak Beach, Bali last Saturday, 1st December 2012. In the informal training, ProFauna team consisting of Drh. (Vet) Wita Wahyudi, Rosek Nursahid, and Jatmiko Wiwoho, spoke about the general guidelines on sea turtle egg relocation.
