ProFauna West Java meets the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission to discuss Wildlife Conservation on Media
ProFauna West Java Representative, Radius Nursidi, met the Provincial Indonesian Broadcasting (KPID) of West Java to discuss the wildlife conservation issues on media last Wednesday, 13 February 2013. In the meeting attended by all of the commissioners, Nursidi shared some records and footages of the television shows exploiting wildlife. Nursidi which was accompanied by one of ProFauna's advisory board members, Herlina Agustin, urged the commission to prevent wildlife exploitation in media which is against wildlife conservation.
The commission responded positively towards ProFauna's suggestion. The commission also invited ProFauna to hold a joint seminar on media roles in wildlife conservation and promised to be more active in monitoring television shows and news media that tend to be counterproductive to wildlife conservation.
