More than 60 teenagers from Batu, East Java, became a Nature Detective to explore wildlife around P-WEC, ProFauna's wildlife education center. They spent two days in mid-June to stay in P-WEC to learn about nature through exciting games and adventure.

Since May 2013, ProFauna has been actively conducting educational programs on sea turtles conservation at schools in Bali. Most of the schools are located around Perancak Beach, District of Jembrana, which is the main habitat of sea turtles in Bali Island.

Vivian Mejia, our current volunteer from Canada, is staying in Perancak Beach to help ProFauna in sea turtles conservation program since yesterday. Vivian has done several activities such as beach patrol, turtle eggs relocation, nursing baby turtles, and also education program.

In early May, an effort to smuggle 1.880 eggs from Bau-Bau, Southeast Sulawesi, to East Borneo via Semayang harbor Balikpapan, was foiled. Last week, a dealer in Samarinda got arrested before he started the business, and 500 eggs was confiscated.

Ride for Orangutan (RFO) campaign conducted by ProFauna Indonesia in April-May 2013 had successfully accomplished. The campaign tour across Sumatra on dirtbikes from Jakarta to Aceh got covered by numerous mass media, but the real hit is the active participation from the people supporting this campaign. Our supporters give their partaking in forms of donation, education, and direct involvement in the campaign.
