Forest Conservation Education Program in West Sumatera

For the past few weeks, PROFAUNA's activists have been fervently visiting schools to promote forest and wildlife conservation. On 8 November 2014, they came to SMAN 2 Bukittinggi (Public Senior High School), west Sumatera. On the occasion attended by approximately 50 students, Yonis Afandi, the coordinator of this chapter, explained about the importance of protecting the forest and wildlife.

On the previous week, PROFAUNA's supporters at this chapter collaborated with the Andalas Wildlife Education Center (AWEC) to hold an educational program on river conservation for the youth around Bukittingi. Not only educating the participants, PROFAUNA's activists also engage them in river cleaning activity at Batang Agam river.
