Partnership with Malang Forestry Management to Conserve the Protected Forests

Since 2020, Profauna Indonesia has partnered with Malang Forestry Management (Perhutani) to strengthen the function of the protected forests covering an area of 42,000 ha in the Greater Malang areas. The partnership includes joint forest patrols, community outreach, rehabilitation of protected forests, wildlife monitoring, and the constructions of forest monitoring posts. In addition, several information boards containing messages of preservation of the protected forests and the prohibition of wildlife poaching in the areas, have been installed.
