ProFauna Talks Wildlife Crime in Padjadjaran University, Bandung

In front of 100 students of Communication Science, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, the chairman of ProFauna Indonesia, Rosek Nursahid, gave a lecture on wildlife crime issues (12/11/2013). He explained about the cruelty behind wildlife trade and why such illicit practice is a severe threat for the wildlife. During the visit, Rosek was accompanied by one of ProFauna's advisory board members, Ms. Herlina Agustin, and the coordinator of ProFauna's West Java Representatives, Radius Nursidi. Rosek gave some examples of infamous wildlife crime cases in Indonesia like the smuggling of Orangutans to Taiwan several years ago.

The guest lecture session was also attended by several supporters of ProFauna from around West Java. All attendants seriously heed the explanation and enthusiastically raise subtle questions afterwards during the discussion time. After the presentation, many of the students approached him to have further discussion because the time provided for the visit was not enough for everybody to have their question answered. Many of them also later applied to join ProFauna's supporters. Welcome to the big family of ProFauna!
