The campaigns and educations are amied to raise people's awareness towards the importance of conserving the Javan Langur and its habitat. PROFAUNA engages the general public to participate in the conservation effort in many possible ways. One of the easiest ways to take part is by not buying illegally sold Javan Langur.
On 28 August 2014, PROFAUNA held an educational program for the freshmen of the Medical Polytechnic of Malang. On the occasion, PROFAUNA played a short film about the conservation of the Javan Langur and its habitat. The film was followed by a lively discussions lead by PROFAUNA's campaign officer, Swasti Prawidya Mukti.
Two days afterwards, PROFAUNA's kind activists went to Jalan Ijen to have a public campaign. The car-free-day space was so crowded by people who came to exercise or merely to spend the morning with families. There, PROFAUNA's activists spread banners saying "Do Not Buy Javan Langurs". Between the talks with the interested passers-by, our activists also distribute stickers with the same theme.
