PROFAUNA Held Successful Wildlife Conservation Training in South Sulawesi
PROFAUNA Indonesia held a very successful training on wildlife conservation at Bengo-Bengo Forest, South Sulawesi on 14-17 April 2017. The training was organized by PROFAUNA South Sulawesi Chapter, and was attended by 32 participants from different cities and background.
Several senior activists of PROFAUNA Indonesia became the speakers during the training, including PROFAUNA's founders Rosek Nursahid and Made Astuti, Dr. Herlina Agustin, and Dr. Rustam. These senior activists lighted up the training, thus the participants remained very enthusiastic right up to the last day.
The participants came from different cities, even from outside South Sulawesi. Some of them were from West and Central Sulawesi. They also had diverse background: environmental activists, literacy activists, social activists, nature enthusiasts, workers, and university students.
"The participant's spirit and enthusiasm were extraordinary! Each session went effectively and everybody used their opportunity to speak up very well during the discussion," said Rosek Nursahid.
The fruitful event would be impossible to take place without the hard work of PROFAUNA Makassar Chapter, coordinated by Junitasari Soenjoto. Despite the small number of team member, Junitasari managed to carry out the event smoothly
"I would like to thank all the committee who have worked very hard to hold this event. We are truly impressed," added Made Astuti.
