Forest Adventure with PROFAUNA's Ranger
Adventure in the forest will be wonderful, if it is accompanied by experienced guides in forest conservation, such as the PROFAUNA Indonesia Ranger team. The team would describe the various wildlife that will be encountered in the tour package. Other than physical and psychological retreat to the nature, the tour will provide you with more knowledge on wildlife and forest conservation.
The adventure will be carried out in the pristine tropical rainforest in Malang, East Java, with uphill and downhill landscapes. Enjoying the beauty of the natural forest, participants will also learn how to observe wild birds that live in the middle of the forest. If you are lucky, you will also see some primates which are endemic to the Java Island: the Javan Langur.
Provisions:
- June to September is the best timing
- Participants should be minimum of 14 years old
- Minimum participants are two at the same time
- Participants should bring their own trekking shoes and backpack to carry the drinking water container
- Book minimum of 10 days in advance and payment should be made minimum of 7 days in advance.
Cost and Facilities:
To join the Forest Adventure with PROFAUNA, participating donation is US$ 85 per person/ day. All profit would go the PROFAUNA to support PROFAUNA rangers in their forest patrols to prevent wildlife hunting.
Duration of the trekking is either 1 or 2 days. For 2-day package, participants will stay overnight in the middle of the forest.
Facilities include motorcycle, experienced guides, basic food, binoculars for bird watching, and a tent for those who stay overnight.
